If I try open the entity list I get the error:

An exception occurred during the operation, making the result invalid.  Check InnerException for exception details.

   at CRM.Tools.MetadataBrowser.Views.EntityList.ExecuteRetrieveEntities_ExecuteCompleted(Object sender, ExecuteCompletedEventArgs response)
   at CRM.Tools.MetadataBrowser.CrmSdk.OrganizationServiceClient.OnExecuteCompleted(Object state)

no entity are shown.

We use claims-based authentication for IFD

Hello Isocini,

I found the reason why it crashes on getting the response for RetrieveEntities:

There are some KnownType attributes that need to be added on some entities in your reference.cs file:

[System.Runtime.Serialization.KnownTypeAttribute(typeof(EntityFilters))]
    public partial class OrganizationRequest
    {

    }

    [System.Runtime.Serialization.KnownTypeAttribute(typeof(OptionSetValue))]
    [System.Runtime.Serialization.KnownTypeAttribute(typeof(EntityReference))]
    public partial class Entity
    {

    }

    [System.Runtime.Serialization.KnownTypeAttribute(typeof(EntityMetadata))]
    [System.Runtime.Serialization.KnownTypeAttribute(typeof(System.Collections.Generic.IList<EntityMetadata>))]
    public partial class OrganizationResponse
    {

    }

This fixed it for me. I hope it helps.

Ok thanks vmatei, I thought I had that already, maybe it was overwritten due to a service reference update. I update asap.

Cheers,
